Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (916) 917-5441. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is allstatetransmissions.info, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 76 reviews, which is a strong result for a transmission shop in Sacramento and suggests consistent service.

2012 Ford F150 needed transmission rebuild and an engine oil change. Excellent service and attention to detail done here. Pickup runs like new again.

I took my 2012 F150 in with suspected transmission issues (it has over 183k miles). Joel was able to replicate the issue. He said my transmission looks good and there's a sensor issue. While he couldn't correct my problem, I would definitely recommend this shop. An honest mechanic is a rare commodity!

We had the transmission and computer parts replaced and a couple of months later brakes work again for our 2005 LS430 Lexus. The auto shop was very honest and reasonably priced. Joel who fixed our car was truly outstanding. His attention to detail and commitment to quality make a big difference. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable top-notch service.

I came in with a 1989 GMC Jimmy with a transmission leak from the pump/torque converter. I spoke with Fred who was in Golden one automotive. Fred was really tentative to my anuto needs and helpfully transferred me to Joel in ALLSTATE TRANSMISSION (which is a few blocks away from golden one automotive). Joel was super friendly when I arrived to check out the shop. He kindly gave me a tour of the shop/ area where the transmissions are repaired. I immediately felt after researching other shops that this was where I wanted to get my truck fixed. When I dropped off my truck they immediately got to working on it and were done in 1 day with it! Truck runs as smooth as butter 🧈. Joel was kind and let me know if there is any issues to please let him know to get things in order. I will definitely be taking my cars for any future repairs to Joel. Will definitely give Fred a call if any issues come up with my other vehicles.
